YOU entrusted me to speak for you and the 200,000 residents of District 4 when you elected me to the Broward County Commission from 2006 to 2010.  And it was my privilege to represent all 1,800,000 Broward residents as Broward's Mayor in 2010.

to protect beach re-nourishment funding sources;

to advocate against raising property taxes;

to defend the protection of Broward's dwindling green spaces; and

to vote against wasteful government spending.

     Together, we fought for - and achieved - our shared vision.

     As Mayor, I guided through the Broward County Commission, a complete rewrite of Broward's Ethics Ordinance to stop lobbyists and business interests from giving gifts to Commissioners and County staff. It was the right thing to do.

     Four years later, its obvious that there is so much more still to be done. That's why I'm seeking to return to the Broward County Commission. I would appreciate your vote in the Democratic primary on August 26, 2014 and on the general election on November 4, 2014.
